Our Living Room Has Street Cred.

Josh and I got both of these amazing bicycles from craigslist believe it or not. Barely spent over $100.00 for both! What a steal! We picked them up today from the bike shop (they both needed new tubes and tires) and went around the block for a ride. I'm in love to say the least. Soon enough, we'll have a little seat on the back for Bean.

Wants.

I have been picking around on the internet lately, and with Bean's arrival coming up, I can't help but search for things I see her wearing, etc. I saw the photo below and went crazy for it. I can't wait to dress Bean up in hats and clothes and photograph her every day all day until she can tell me no! Ha.Isn't that the best?! I would love to set pictures up like that with Bean. She might not be as passive, but you never know, she might love it. My parents always comment on what a ham I was when I was a child. Funny now how I hate having my picture taken. I found a few things that I am planning on purchasing in the next few months for her that I just fell in love with. Here they are!I can't believe we only have at most 12 weeks, at fewest 9 weeks. It felt for the longest time that it would never be over, and now that it's coming to a close, I can't believe it! She will be here before we know it. I can't wait for her!

Inspired.

I think I have become obsessed with design blogs. I want to re-do my entire house! I can't get enough of them! Being 7 months pregnant, I have all of this energy and few places to direct it. All I want to do is drive to Jo-Anns and buy out their entire fabric stock and go to town.

...BUT, I am stuck here, eating strawberries and watermelon while watching The Office. We all have our secret desires. Ha.

Photos.

We had the most relaxing time in Prescott this weekend. Although we were only there for 36 hours, give or take, it was just what we needed. My grandparents and Dad did the best job of making us feel at home, which they are all so good at. We left with more than we came with, freshly baked bread, recipe books, things for our house. My grandparents got to spend some time with Josh, and when we left, I think we all left feeling a little bit more like family. Wonderful weekend, and here are some pictures from the trip.

Next time we visit, we'll have Bean with us. I hope she had a good time and enjoyed the mountain air as much as I did. My lungs haven't breathed that freely in a while. Summer is upon us in the valley, and I think it's just now starting to get to me. Maybe trips up North will be more frequent than I thought...

North, ho!

The husband and I are off to Prescott for the rest of our 3 day weekend. Hopefully the weather stays nice and allows us to relax...just what we need!

Pictures to follow!

Paint, or no paint?

I have been struggling with what I want Bean's room to look like. I've been scouring the internet for ideas. I've found a few that I like but lately I really like something and then a day later I hate it. Nesting is really making me a crazy woman. I do also have to keep in mind that we are moving out of our apartment in January, so I am limited in what I can do before packing it all up. Here are some of my favorites ideas:So many options! I love them all! I wanted her room to be girly, but not with butterflies and rainbows. I would put everything that she will have in her room throughout my house. I love the decor style, and I can't wait to start messing around with fabrics. I was also really inspired by these designs, because a lot of them are all do-it-yourself projects. Good use of my time, which I could use right now!

On the other hand, for the past 3 days I have been getting those pesky Braxton-Hicks contractions. They have been getting pretty uncomfortable, but not painful. I am starting to realize that she will be here in more or less, 12 weeks. Ah! I am getting excited, and it's mind boggling that it's almost over. She's almost done cookin'!

First Blog...

So this is officially the first post to my pregnancy blog. I thought that it would be a fun way for my friends and family to keep in touch with my journey through pregnancy. I will share the good and the bad, the easy and the not so easy.

I am as of today 26 weeks pregnant with a little baby girl, her name is still undecided. Josh and I have a few names that we are messing around with, but I don't think that anything is set yet. We lovingly refer to her as "Bean." She at one time did look like a little lima bean, but as of several weeks ago, she looks like this:

We had a doctors appointment yesterday, and after being measured and weighed (ugh) we sat down and had a talk about our birth plan. Since I am considered high risk, I was not cleared to have a homebirth like I originally wanted. He did let me know that I was ok'd for having a VBAC (vaginal birth after C-Section.) I want a her to be born with as little intervention as possible. With the birth of my son almost 4 years ago, I had preeclampsia, and when he was born, I was put under completely and had to have an emergency C-Section. He almost died, and I came very close to going into a coma. We were both hospitalized for 9 days. Not really my idea of what I would like this time around. I am just crossing my fingers that I stay healthy all the way through.

We started childbirth classes with our pastor's wife 3 weeks ago, and they are going very well. She is very pro natural birth, which is nice for me, but also provides an even hand when it comes to all the information. She had 3 babies naturally, and she is so inspiring to listen to. She is going to school to be an RN, but has been involved with teaching pregnant women for years. We are in the class with only one other couple, Vanessa and her husband (can't remember his name right now) and they are really great. She is a first time mom, and works for a maternity undergarments website. She kindly gave me a gift last week, a support band for my belly that has been taking all the weight off my back. LOVE IT! It's from a company called Amon, created by a yoga instructor that was tired of not having anything comfortable and supportive to wear when she became pregnant. The website is www.amonmaternity.com. I highly recommend it.

We have our next appointment in 2 weeks, and we'll see how things go from there.
