Videos!

Ouch.

Today has been one of those days...horrible and wonderful all at the same time.

We are now 100% sure that Bean is teething now. Her gums get so sensitive sometimes that she can't even eat. She'll spit out her pacifier and put her mouth right where it hurts. She stops crying only when you put your fingers in her mouth right where it hurts. Poor thing. We have been using Hyland's teething tablets we bought at Whole Foods. They seem to do a good job of relieving her pain almost instantly. We have been using cold carrots, teething rings, you name it, we've tried it! But all in all, we're getting through it.

Bean had her 4 month check up today! She is 12.8 lbs, and 24 1/2 inches long! Big girl! Well, long girl I should say! She is pretty petite for her age, but once she starts eating solids she'll bulk up. She was given three shots today as well. One oral, and the other two in her thighs. Ouch. Josh had to take her by himself this morning, and he had to hold her while they administered the shots. It's pretty hard to watch, but like a champ she only cried for a second. She does pretty well, and did so today. Shots make her cranky (naturally) and on top of teething, we had a hard day.

Bean had her first fruit today! I mixed it in with her organic rice cereal, and she loved it. When we stopped, she would cry until we gave her more! She is doing so well with food. It's so crazy to think what she'll be doing in the next few months. I'm amazed!

Merry Belated Christmas everyone!

We had a busy, but wonderful holiday! We had 3 family Christmas celebrations. Bean held up like a champion, rested and happy. She slept in the car when she usually screams. (She HATES the car, we still can't figure out why.) She got some great gifts and we all had wonderful family time. It was her first Christmas, and it couldn't have gone better!

I bought her dad a Flip video camera, and now expect a lot more videos of Bean, and probably us! We are headed to Prescott for the rest of the weekend and all day Monday. When we get back, I'll post pictures and maybe some new videos. Hope everyone's holiday was great!

Snow/Soap.

The other night we took Bean to see the "snowfall" at Tempe Marketplace. Even though it wasn't snow, it was foam, it was still great! There were little kids everywhere screaming and playing. It was so cute! Us 3 had a great time! It's every night until New Year's at 7:00. I recommend it if you had little ones! Here are some photos...

Tooths.

It may sound strange, but I think that our baby girl is getting teeth!

She has been drooling SO much, chewing, and literally been nursing all day all night. She has rare moments of great sleep, and naps are fewer and fewer these days. I know it sounds early, but babies can start teething right around four months, which is exactly where she is. I have been looking at timelines and natural teething remedies. We are trying a few things out, teething rings, frozen washcloths, but it seems the only thing that works for her is nursing. Sometimes she doesn't even want to eat, she just wants to lay next to my boob and hug it. Hey, whatever works for her! Just as long as she isn't screaming, right?

If you have any recommendations for other natural teething remedies (no Orajel or Tylenol) I would love to hear about them!

Family.

Here are our Christmas card photos! Just a preview, but aren't they great? Bean looks like a little doll. I love them and like our modern twist on the family Christmas card!

Ho Ho Ho.

Ah Christmas...

I can't wait until next year when Bean understands it, to a certain extent. She will be over a year old, and be able to appreciate the lights, and the presents, and possibly the family traditions. That's what I am looking forward to most, starting some with her, and continuing on with the ones that we have kept. I am so excited for this holiday, and can't wait to share more with her! She will be spoiled this year and every year!

Today my cousin Chelsea took our Christmas card/family pictures. I can't wait to see them! She is so great, and we had the best time! Normally, having our pictures taken isn't so great. I hate being in front of the camera, so being comfortable is really important to me. Today was, and I am excited to see them! Her photography business is taking off, and I'm so excited for her!

Busy!

The holiday season is finally upon us!

In the last week, we've moved to our new house, had Thanksgiving, and tonight, we'll be throwing our very own housewarming. I must be crazy, we've only lived here for 4 days! I have been so busy getting everything organized...I promise I will try and update soon. Maybe today? We'll see...just wanted to say that I hope everyone's Thanksgiving was great!
